Dilemma...

Should I make myself a white skirt??

I see them everywhere, especially in eyelet and ruffles. But the question is, should I spend the time and money to make myself one, when I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I will either stain it the first time I wear it (if not while I'm making it!) or spend every minute of the time I wear it wondering if I've stained it?? But they're so pretty and feminine! With a lightweight pink cardigan and a white shirt under it, ooh, it would be beautiful!

Should I do it?

Oh, that would be so pretty. But I would go with no. Every time I've worn a lot of white I've worried the whole time I'm wearing it about it getting dirty. And white is so easy to stain! It would be so pretty and feminine, though :).

I say yes! I actually just bought byself a long while eyelit skirt! Maybe you could just wear it to church if you're worried about stains...:-)

I vote yes! Just don't wear it if you know you'll be eating. I have a pretty cream-colored eyelet blouse that I wear all the time, and it hasn't been stained yet (despite me being messy).

So far it's 2-1, girls!
Thanks for your comments!
I do want to make myself one, because it would be so pretty... and I just might follow your suggestions Eva (thanks for stopping by!), and Samara (good to hear from you!). But you're quite right Susan, I would be concerned for it as well, besides the fact that it's not like I need to go around looking for sewing to keep me busy right now! I've got plenty enough to do already! So if I never get around to it, then I know it will be for my good anyway. : )
Besides, maybe I'll actually have a reason to wear not only a white skirt, but a whole white dress one of these days... (?)

Just wanted to let you know that I've now worn my white skirt, and it is the most comfortable skirt I have! I love the way it swishes and falls! And I haven't gotten it stained (yet!)! :-)

Congratulations, Eva- for not getting anything on your skirt! : )
I must confess you and Samara are persuading me to consider a white skirt more seriously!
PS- I love your name! It's so pretty : ) Thanks for visiting my blog!
